Neuigkeiten !

Hinflug 20.09.2011
BA 751 Basel - London Heathrow 08:30 - 09:15

Rückflug 14.10.2011
BA 754 London Heathrow - Basel 14:40 - 17:20
++++

  1. Congratulations ,
I assume you will take the Bus or Train to Southampton or Cunard Shuttle or go for broke and take a private car (about 100GBP from Airport)

  2. Hey, Rob.
They will (have to) take us with the CUNARD Shuttle, since it's all organised by CUNARD and included in the complete cruise fare.
We know that NationalExpress Bus Shuttles form Heathrow to Southampton are really a deal, since we did it before (see QV-cruises), but since this time the price was "all inclusive", we won't bather taking a risk on our own. Also driving the car on the "wrong" side of the road - not for us... we rather leave these things to those guys who know it better. :-)

  3. Ah, the shuttle and train mentioned in my blog was meant for our part from home in Germany to the airport in Switzerland... It's both we need to take. Keeping the car at the airport for 4 weeks will cost a "bomb and a half"... even a taxi for to go and come would be cheaper...

  4. Good to hear,
Yes, National Express does the Southampton/Airport route but as you say Cunard has all the responsibilities and no worries for you.
I was looking at prices to park at a hotel in Vancouver and it was $25 and up for the day as a guest while in London UK it is about 30GBP and up.
Our local airport is about $5 a day for long stay.
